In addition to connecting with and regulating our emotions, improving cognitive, emotional, and behavioral skills is also essential for emotional wellness. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, for example, can help individuals identify and change negative thought patterns that contribute to distress. By challenging unhelpful beliefs and developing more adaptive coping strategies, clients can experience profound shifts in their mental and emotional well-being.
