Psychological Testing and Assessment
ADHD Evaluations & Diagnostic Clarification
I offer focused psychological testing because I know that full neuropsychological evaluations can be expensive, time-consuming, and more extensive than many clients actually need. Sometimes what’s most helpful is a targeted evaluation that can answer the specific question at hand: such as whether ADHD is present, or how to best clarify a diagnosis to guide treatment. My approach is grounded in therapeutic assessment, which means I work collaboratively with clients throughout the process. Instead of testing being something “done to you,” it becomes a supportive experience where we explore your history, gather information together, and use results to create meaning and direction. This approach not only provides accurate answers, but also helps clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical next steps for care.
Adult ADHD Evaluation
What is ADHD?
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a form of neurodivergence that affects attention, focus, and executive functioning. It can create challenges with organization, follow-through, and regulation, but also brings unique strengths such as creativity, energy, and innovation.
Why?
ADHD symptoms often overlap with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, autism traits, or learning differences. Many adults, especially women and high-achieving professionals, spend years feeling misunderstood or misdiagnosed.
A thoughtful evaluation provides clarity. Rather than guessing or self-diagnosing, this process helps determine whether ADHD best explains your experiences or whether other factors are contributing. Clear answers lead to more effective treatment, accommodations, and self-understanding.

This evaluation can help:
-
Determine whether ADHD is contributing to difficulties with focus, organization, or emotional regulation
-
Provide diagnostic clarity without requiring a full neuropsychological battery
-
Offer a lower-time and lower-cost option while still delivering reliable conclusions

Designed for adults who:
-
Wonder whether ADHD is affecting work performance, school demands, or daily life
-
Have been misdiagnosed in the past or want confirmation of a prior ADHD diagnosis
-
Experience symptoms that look like anxiety, depression, perfectionism, or burnout and want clarity
-
Are seeking documentation to support academic or workplace accommodations
-
Need diagnostic clarity before pursuing medication or other ADHD-specific treatment
-
Have overlapping concerns (e.g., ADHD + anxiety or trauma) and want answers they can trust
-
ADHD is frequently underdiagnosed in women and adults whose symptoms don’t fit childhood stereotypes. This evaluation is designed with those presentations in mind.

What’s Included:
-
Comprehensive clinical interview covering developmental, educational, medical, occupational, and psychiatric history
-
Evidence-based ADHD measures assessing symptoms, executive functioning, and day-to-day impact
-
Multi-informant data, when available, to corroborate symptoms across settings
-
Functional impairment assessment examining how attention and executive challenges affect real-world functioning
-
Screening for related conditions, including mood, anxiety, trauma, autism traits, and learning differences, to support accurate differential diagnosis
-
Detailed written report integrating all data sources with clear diagnostic reasoning
-
Feedback session to review results, discuss diagnosis (when appropriate), and outline individualized recommendations
-
This evaluation uses a multi-method, evidence-based approach, rather than relying on a single test.

What's NOT included:
-
This evaluation is focused specifically on adult ADHD and is not a substitute for a full neuropsychological or psychoeducational assessment.
-
I do not diagnose autism spectrum disorder or learning disabilities; however, I screen for these concerns and provide referral recommendations when a comprehensive evaluation is warranted.
-
This evaluation does not include computerized continuous performance tests (CPTs) or reaction-time–based attention tasks. While these measures are sometimes used in in-person settings, they are not well-suited for telehealth administration. Diagnostic conclusions are instead based on a comprehensive, multi-method approach that integrates clinical interview, standardized rating scales, collateral information, behavioral observations, and evidence of real-world functional impairment.

Why this approach:
If ADHD is your primary concern, this evaluation offers a focused and efficient path forward.
Rather than committing to a full neuropsychological battery, which often costs $3,000–$5,000 and requires 6–10 hours of testing, this process uses the tools most relevant to adult ADHD diagnosis while still carefully considering important differentials.

This approach is:
-
Focused – Targeted to ADHD while accounting for overlapping conditions
-
Thorough – Uses standardized measures, clinical interviews, collateral input, and functional data
-

Benefits:
-
Diagnostic clarity regarding ADHD when appropriate
-
Actionable recommendations for treatment, skills support, and accommodations
-
Time and cost savings compared to full testing batteries
-
A clear plan for next steps if additional evaluation is recommended
